  1. Acceptance of Terms
    The purpose of this site is to provide an automated upload archive for Good Charlotte fan fiction. We provide this service free of charge subject to the following Terms of Service which may be updated from time to time. You can review the most current version of the TOS at any time by clicking the link located at the bottom of every page.
  2. Registration Obligations
    Anyone can sign up for an account provided they are over 13 years of age or have permission from their parents. This term is in compliance with the United States Federal Trade Commissions Children's Online Privacy & Protection Act. Creation of an account by an individual means that they consent to follow any terms posted in this document.
  3. Privacy and Security
    Your privacy is important to us. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide some personal information for our records. We do not collect any personal information other than that which is provided by you voluntarily. This information will only be used to contact users in the event of a problem. It is never shared or sold to third party or external sites. We take all reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the information you share with us. Any information shared is by consent of the user. We encourage you to use discretion when giving out any personal information over the internet.

    You will attain the ability to upload your writing to the site through your author account upon completing the registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account. You are also responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account.
  4. Account Suspension
    We reserve the right to suspend your account at our sole discretion. Any suspension may be effected without prior notice. When an account is suspended, it is locked so the user will not longer gain access through that alias. Any stories posted to the account will immediately be deleted as well as any favorites listed. You may submit an appeal to your suspension by contact us if you feel that your actions are/were in compliance with our rules and TOS. We reserve the right to ultimately decide the fate of your account with us. User accounts can and will be suspended for the following reasons:

    (a) Plagiarism of material.
    (b) Harassment of staff and/or users.
  5. Screening of Content
    All stories and chapters posted under the archive are submitted to approval by staff. It is in their sole discretion to refuse or alter any content that violates our rules and TOS or is otherwise objectionable. We try to maintain quality standards in order to ensure a higher quality of stories for our readers to enjoy. Any stories that do not meet our standards may be removed at any time with or without prior notice.
  6. Domestic Copyrights
    We respect the intellectual property of others and we ask our users to do the same. If you feel that your writing has been copied without permission and in violation of your copyright by an author of the site, please provide us with the following information via e-mail:

    (1) Penname (if applicable) an e-mail address where you may be reached for further contact.

    (2) Contact information for author in question (their penname or author profile link).

    (3) The link or name of the piece that you have the copyright for.

    (4) The link or name of the piece that you feel is in violation of your copyright.

    (5) Supporting and collaborative evidents that demonstrates copyright infringement.

    After this information has been received, our staff will seek to determine if the piece in question is in violation of your copyright and then respond accordingly. Please note that this only applies to stories posted on this site. We cannot be liable for anything posted to other sites. Also note that story ideas do not normally act as infringements on copyrighted material in fan fiction.
